- My mother had attempted to teach me to knit at the age of 8. On and off through the years, I would knit here and there. When my 2 kids were very young, I would think of things to make for them. I've made them sweaters, leg warmers (it was the 80's!), and other things. I started making blankets for adults and babies! Hats, scarves, anything that people wanted. I was so busy, that I "recruited" my mother into helping with the orders. Not only is knitting and crocheting something that people would love to buy, but it's something that I love to do. It also has it's bonding moments. My mother and I are together often, brainstorming on what to make that people would love. We came up with hats... Pumpkin hats, watermelon hats, etc... all absolutely adorable, and I love making. Of course, in the future, I will eventually have more ideas on what to make... My daughter who is now 25 has told me that when she gets married, she wants all the bouqets to be crocheted. Now that's an idea!
